Didn't know I was a vest guy until buying this product
The collar is a bit tight. I usually bur XL, and realise I should have got the XXL. Experience may vary. This is just my experience.
A little tall for my torso. Collar could be shorter as a preference. None of that stops this from be magnificent. Soooooo many pockets and shockingly wind resistant. Great for the kind of person that wears shorts in winter :)
The tech vest, in my opinion, has the best pockets of all of LTTs products. They are big enough to fit my bulky stuff and I can zip them up with ease. Please use this vest as a template for designing pockets in all future sweater and jackets.
I find the collar and main zipper go a bit high and is a little uncomfortable with the snug fit but I believe this is more to make the tech vest warmer in cooler weather, so it's a feature that I personally won't use the vest for but not a bug. However the only model picture currently with the vest zipped up is Shawns, and he too does not have it zipped up all the way. I'd request at least one model picture with it zipped up all the way so people can see how it hugs the collar.
Sizing for this item is tough. It doesn't have much stretch to accommodate multiple layers of clothing underneath. I bought a large and it's a little snug on me when zipped up. But I think an XL would be too big which is what I got for the 3D down jacket because I know I usually layer up and that was a bit too big. So consider how many layers you usually wear when thinking on what size to get.
I love the vest. The material feels high quality and it is warm when it needs to be. It has more pockets than I can count, all of which seem to make sense. The stitching looks to be really solid and suspect this vest will be durable. It's pricey, but you are definitely paying for quality.
My only two complaints, neither of which are worth losing a star:
1. The size runs a little small. I made sure to tape myself before I ordered and I find the medium to be a little snug when zipped up. It still fits, but it definitely hugs. That said, I have a feeling the large would have been too loose. So, likely just a "me" problem.
2. The left handed main zipper. I had to make sure I wasn't losing my mind but every other jacket and vest I own has the zipper on the right side. This vest is on the left. It completely messes with my muscle memory but I won't actually wear it zipped up too much.
