Description
At long last, the legendary Honeywell PTM7950 Phase Change Thermal Pads from this video are available on lttstore!
If you're looking for a thermal interface material that offers higher performance than standard paste, but you don't want to go through the trouble of something like liquid metal, this is a fantastic middle ground for any PC or DIY server installation. Many laptop manufacturers also go for a thermal pad rather than paste on CPU & GPU installs, so if your older laptop needs a refresh we've got you covered.
PTM7950 sources tend to be overpriced or unreliable in most cases, so we're super proud to offer an affordable, trusted source for this unique thermal material.

IMPORTANT NOTES:
Your thermal pad may undergo one or more phase changes during shipping, resulting in it arriving in a slightly deformed state. This is normal and will not result in performance issues of any kind after installation -- your heatsink will ensure even coverage.
In the event of any leakage from the product packaging, please contact customer support.
Unfortunately we cannot accept returns for thermal pads with open product packaging.

Size Guide

I live in a warmed climate, so when this arrived it was in the 90s F out. I threw it in the freezer but the ambient temperature in the room still ended up being in the upper 70s making this difficult to liberate from its backing as well as prone to tearing. Luckily, the pad was large enough that I got two changes at applying it to my AMD IHS and on the second attempt I was able to get it applied, and although torn it seems to be performing very well a month or so later. Being used with a Thermalright AIO on a Ryzen 5 9600X in PBO 120 watt tdp mode in an ITX SFF build.
I bought this because my GPU keeps doing the "pump out effect" with thermal paste that makes thermals worse overtime. Helped tremendously especially with my GPU cooler's heatsink design (3080 TUF)
I tried a part of it on my CPU (13700k) that has an IHS and it wasn't that good compared to thermal paste even after weeks of application.
I used the rest cooling bare die silicon such as my nintendo switch and mac mini 2018. Which is improved their thermals significantly (mac mini 2018 stopped throttling)
Application might be difficult but there are instructions that alleviated that.
Overall, very happy with this product. Will use phase change pads on cooling all my devices with bare die.
I purchased the large model (200mm x 160mm) with a friend, initially thinking it would only cover our 2 GPUs. However, we ended up using about 25-30% for 3 GPUs and 2 CPUs.
In my specific case, the hotspot temperature of my 6900XT LC dropped from 104°C to 84°C after 30 minutes of running FurMark. I know it might be mounted improperly, but it worked really well previously, so...
I highly recommend it! We'll see how it holds up over time.
Applied this on both my GPU and CPU. Tested immediately and it brings down the temperature by 10 degrees. Happy with the results.
Easy to work with, thermals down by about 10 degrees on both cpu and gpu
