Description
At long last, the legendary Honeywell PTM7950 Phase Change Thermal Pads from this video are available on lttstore!
If you're looking for a thermal interface material that offers higher performance than standard paste, but you don't want to go through the trouble of something like liquid metal, this is a fantastic middle ground for any PC or DIY server installation. Many laptop manufacturers also go for a thermal pad rather than paste on CPU & GPU installs, so if your older laptop needs a refresh we've got you covered.
PTM7950 sources tend to be overpriced or unreliable in most cases, so we're super proud to offer an affordable, trusted source for this unique thermal material.
First time using a thermal pad like this? Check out our quick installation guide here
IMPORTANT NOTES:
Your thermal pad may undergo one or more phase changes during shipping, resulting in it arriving in a slightly deformed state. This is normal and will not result in performance issues of any kind after installation -- your heatsink will ensure even coverage.
In the event of any leakage from the product packaging, please contact customer support.
Unfortunately we cannot accept returns for thermal pads with open product packaging.

Size Guide

You know there was nothing to write home about but nothing to complain about and I’m all about that. I wasn’t expecting a crazy 2 day delivery but what I was expecting was ltt quality and I got that through no hiccups in ordering and good quality product. Good job
This was so easy to apply! Mo mess, no muss, no fuss, no cleanup. Just size, place, and install the cpu. Thermals are great and installation was fast!
After all the hype about PTM7950, I finally decided to give it a go.
Got a laptop with LM (ew!) and had it a couple years now. It kept running in the 90s (C) and over, even sometimes with fans on high. Would sometimes slow down or crash programs due to this. Took it apart, removed the original CPU LM (ew!) and GPU dried-up compound (also ew!) and replaced with the PTM7950.
It was a bit tricky to tack on and keep from pulling off when removing the plastic even when cold due to the way it sticks, just have to be extremely careful, slow, and patient.
Immediate improvement. Of course, it wasn't a huge difference, but it was certainly noticeable. Over the last little bit, it's become better and running quite a bit cooler. Still have to run the fans a bit high at times, but temps rarely go over 85 (C) anymore (usually staying around 80s (C) on high load).
Also, fair warning, the pad sizes can trick you. Got the larger one and didn't realize it would be that big. But that's OK. Got plenty for later now. Just in case.
Note also that it will squeeze out the edge of the plastic just a bit onto the cardboard holder, but that's normal due to its properties (don't pay attention to those who think it's a bad thing).
I haven't received it yet.
I found these much more difficult to apply, even when chilling ahead of time as recommended.
