Description
At long last, the legendary Honeywell PTM7950 Phase Change Thermal Pads from this video are available on lttstore!
If you're looking for a thermal interface material that offers higher performance than standard paste, but you don't want to go through the trouble of something like liquid metal, this is a fantastic middle ground for any PC or DIY server installation. Many laptop manufacturers also go for a thermal pad rather than paste on CPU & GPU installs, so if your older laptop needs a refresh we've got you covered.
PTM7950 sources tend to be overpriced or unreliable in most cases, so we're super proud to offer an affordable, trusted source for this unique thermal material.

IMPORTANT NOTES:
Your thermal pad may undergo one or more phase changes during shipping, resulting in it arriving in a slightly deformed state. This is normal and will not result in performance issues of any kind after installation -- your heatsink will ensure even coverage.
In the event of any leakage from the product packaging, please contact customer support.
Unfortunately we cannot accept returns for thermal pads with open product packaging.

Though a bit tricky to apply, even when stored in the fridge for a couple weeks waiting for my Ryzen 9 9950X, I cannot deny my AIOs performance with this thermal pad. The only issue I had was getting the plastic backing off the PTM7950 after applying it to the CPU. It was hard to get it to start to peel at first and then the PTM7950 wanted to separate. I consider these minor problems however and cannot in good conscience deduct any stars for this. Five stars it gets because my 9950X runs cool even at prolonged periods of 100% CPU usage with a 360mm AIO.
Works really better than any thermal paste i tried on my bent laptop motherboard/heat sink. Some hot spots still persist, but total temperature fell down up to 10-15 degrees.
Application is a nightmare, especially when trying to peal off the hard plastic cover (the base) - it just tears all the thermal compound all the time.
Arrived quickly and safely and worked much better giving me 3-5 degree cooler temps on 9800x3d out of the box.
Only ever used Arctic mx4. This definitely has definitely been a welcome change. Temps on many of my stuff have seen some nice drops.
It's definitely more of a pita to put on than normal paste. It's kind of awkward to get it peeled off the plastic backing nicely; even after putting it in the freezer. Otherwise, it seems good. Longevity is the main sell for me which is a few years away from really knowing.
