The 40oz is a better size for out and about, but if you just want an absolute tank of a water bottle for at home, this is perfect. I pack it with Ice and water and it will easily last the day and still have plenty Ice left in it. If you let it sit without opening it, it can last a few days while still remaining cold.

These bottles are well made with quality materials, sturdy (my old one survived a number of harrowing drops), hold temperature for quite a while, seal well and overall work as good as intended. Not sure what else to say other than it's a good quality water bottle!

That said, cleaning is a pain. The bottle itself? Easy if you own even a cheap bottle brush. It's the lids that fall short. The silicone seals in the lid and cap are quite difficult to remove for cleaning. If you don't? They will grow mold over time (same as any other water bottle). Either you are stuck fighting with a butter knife or other pointy object to dig them out for every cleaning, or use a third party lid whose seals have tabs to ease removal. Personally, using the stock lid simply isn't worth the hassle. A shame! I'd give it five stars if it wasn't for this single issue.

I have all 3 sizes (that I know of).

The 64oz one is my favorite for work, but outside of that it falls behind the 40oz.

The bottle looks cool, and the lid is interchangeable between the bottles.

The downside is how long it doesn't keep ice water cold. Ice lasts about 18 hours between 70°f-80f. Less the hotter it is. However the 40oz keeps ice for days. So I end up using both lol.

Great bottle regardless.
