Description

WARNING: VHB should be considered a "permanent" adhesive - removing VHB tape after it has been applied may cause damage to paint or other surfaces.

Magnetic Cable Management VHB Plates are an optional upgrade for standard Magnetic Cable Management plates. 3M VHB is a legend in the industry for a reason - their adhesive is second to none. We always recommend screwing your plates into your desk or wall for maximum hold, but if you insist on only using an adhesive solution... VHB is the way to go.

HOW TO INSTALL

Clean your mounting surface with 70% isopropyl alcohol or soap and water solution to remove any dirt or oil that may interfere with the adhesive backing.
Peel the backing layer off a loose plate (or magnetically connected plate and arch) to expose the adhesive.
Press the plate (or connected plate and arch) against the surface in the desired location.
Apply firm pressure to the plate or arch against the mounting surface for at least 10 seconds.
For maximum security, screw your plate into your mounting surface with the included screws.

If you used a Magnetic Arch to help position your adhesive plate:

Carefully remove the arch from the plate (Tip: reaching inside the arch to hold the plate against the surface while sliding the arch sideways can be helpful)
Ensure good contact between the entire plate to the mounting surface by firmly pressing all areas of the plate against the mounting surface.

Worked well with Ikea Galant desk

I bought this to hang my Netgear 8-port manged switch underneath my Ikea Galant desk. Attaching the holder to the switch was easy and the magnets are plenty strong to hold the switch up against the metal frame underneath the desk. Even with a full complement of Ethernet cables dangling off the switch, it ain't moving.

After struggling for years with cable management, this is an easy and elegant solution.

Perfect for Milwaukee chargers

I purchased the 2 pack of powerbar magnets with the intention of putting them on the backside of my milwaukee battery charger at work. They work fantastically. The pair of magnets are strong enough to support the weight of the heaviest 18v battery and a 12v battery at the same time whilst being mounted on the side, fighting gravity and resisting sliding.
