Sometimes great things do come in small packages! The LTT Stubby Screwdriver shares many of the same amazing features of the full-sized LTT Screwdriver in a much smaller format to make daily carrying easier than ever before. Thanks to the 4" length, you can even bring it on planes in the US & Canada!

The short stainless steel shaft features the same aggressive diamond knurling found on our full-sized driver, with a strong broach magnet to ensure your screws & bits stay in place. The internal bit storage has space for up to 6 20mm "shorty" bits, and our included bit set features the daily carry that we believe will suit you best - PH0, PH1, PH 2, SL4, SL6, and our popular magnet bit.

The ratchet is based on Megapro's long-standing & reliable design, but has been significantly modified to suit our needs. We reversed the ratchet direction (right for clockwise, left for anti-clockwise), adjusted the spring for lighter back-force which allows you to ratchet-drive even very small screws, and optimized for smoothness and quiet function. We've also significantly shortened the internal spline on the ratchet to fit the short format on the Stubby Screwdriver. It's rated for operation of up to 170 inch-pounds (20Nm) of torque. Due to its smaller size, the Stubby's ratchet may feel slightly different than your standard LTT Screwdriver, but it packs the same high performance in a much smaller footprint!

All external plastics are Triax 1120 - a Nylon and ABS polymer which is great for injection molding parts like ours - for its overall durability and chemical resistance.

Internal plastics in our ratchet are made from Delrin for its self-lubricating properties, and our ratchet housing is made from Zinc.

Our industrial-looking black phosphate-coated S2 steel bits are durable and rust resistant. (NOTE: Bits are a consumable item and will wear or break down over time. Visual wear to the black phosphate coating is normal and expected.)

Valuable toolbox item

I was skeptical at first and didn't consider purchasing the stubby when it was initially released. I do not have good experiences with stubby drivers. They are not mainstream, therefore typically not well designed unless you want to overpay for those big brands. I decided to give the LTT stubby a shot considering the quality of the full sized LTT driver. It absolutely didn't disappoint! I keep the full sized driver and the stubby in my everyday bag, since I need to maintain a toolkit at home and work. It is great I don't have to carry around multiple drivers which helps reduces weight. My socket bits aren't getting much love these days either. The stubby has proven to be an invaluable tool.

I didn’t need this

Haha - honestly, as an original backer of the first all black screwdriver, I did not NEED this. But, turned out that putting an item in the cart made the highly coveted Breadsaurus pin available!
So, hacked the system, got the pin I wanted, and grew my collection of premium tools. Already used it to rewire a lamp and can attest: same great build and features of the full sized screwdriver, just stubbier!
Small and effective, like a great YouTube host I follow ;)

Solid and very usefull

I honestly got this with a discounted prices due to the backpack "scandal". With that being said I only have one negative thing to say and that is the colors are slightly off my other screwdriver. I heard it brought up on WAN show so I know they are aware and to me its really not that big of a deal. I purchased these to use and not as decor pieces that must be perfect. The ratchet seems to be a bit tighter but have yet to see that being an issue as most of the time when i use this I do need a bit of force on it. If I were looking at 1 or the other for stubby or regular I think I still would get regular even though the have the shaft extension you can get for the stubby but the nurling and handle on the larger model feel a bit better to my grip than stubby. I do use both of mine for more than just computers and they work great! I actually really love the bits as I seem to lose them less while having them out if I need to interchange them a lot for a task as the black pops out from all the rest of my silver tools usually.
