Description
Sometimes great things do come in small packages! The LTT Stubby Screwdriver shares many of the same amazing features of the full-sized LTT Screwdriver in a much smaller format to make daily carrying easier than ever before. Thanks to the 4" length, you can even bring it on planes in the US & Canada!
The short stainless steel shaft features the same aggressive diamond knurling found on our full-sized driver, with a strong broach magnet to ensure your screws & bits stay in place. The internal bit storage has space for up to 6 20mm "shorty" bits, and our included bit set features the daily carry that we believe will suit you best - PH0, PH1, PH 2, SL4, SL6, and our popular magnet bit.
The ratchet is based on Megapro's long-standing & reliable design, but has been significantly modified to suit our needs. We reversed the ratchet direction (right for clockwise, left for anti-clockwise), adjusted the spring for lighter back-force which allows you to ratchet-drive even very small screws, and optimized for smoothness and quiet function. We've also significantly shortened the internal spline on the ratchet to fit the short format on the Stubby Screwdriver. It's rated for operation of up to 170 inch-pounds (20Nm) of torque. Due to its smaller size, the Stubby's ratchet may feel slightly different than your standard LTT Screwdriver, but it packs the same high performance in a much smaller footprint!
All external plastics are Triax 1120 - a Nylon and ABS polymer which is great for injection molding parts like ours - for its overall durability and chemical resistance.
Internal plastics in our ratchet are made from Delrin for its self-lubricating properties, and our ratchet housing is made from Zinc.
Our industrial-looking black phosphate-coated S2 steel bits are durable and rust resistant. (NOTE: Bits are a consumable item and will wear or break down over time. Visual wear to the black phosphate coating is normal and expected.)

Build quality is refined and stout. I hesitated to buy until the bundle for black Friday and I’m honesty mad i didn’t get them sooner. Fantastic product and the hoodie i got in the order was really nice quality as well, worth every penny.
Great screwdriver to carry in the pocket. Im a manufacturing Engineer and use this one almost daily. I also carry the fullsize version. I wish this had maybe a shift extension inside that could turn those into a fuller size on the fly so I wouldn't have to carry both screwdrivers but it's quality is worth every dollar.
All the features of the full-sized screwdriver, but in a MUCH more compact package.
When I reviewed the big-brother, I also gave it 4 stars because I compared it to its predecessor: the MegaPro Automotive. While I prefer the grippy texture of the MegaPro, the shape of the LTT screwdriver is much more comfortable, and the knurled shaft is definitely a plus.
I like that the Stubby uses the same size bits as the full-size screwdriver, so all the LTT bit sets work with both screwdrivers. However, I'm still a bit bummed that they're shorter than the industry standard (20 mm vs. 25 mm), meaning I can't store the standard bits in the handle, though they fit the shaft just fine.
The ratcheting mechanism is reverse from what MegaPro uses, and now that I've experienced both, I find that I prefer LTT's design.
The fidget feature of the full-size screwdriver is easier to play with than with the Stubby (longer shaft, and the heavier handle means more inertia so it spins longer).
I keep all three screwdrivers mentioned here in my "daily driver" tool kit, and use the one most appropriate for the immediate task. (The MegaPro gets the harshest treatment, as it's about half the price of LTT's and easier to replace if necessary... though it hasn't been necessary yet.)
Used it to build my pc. Was a little stubby, but got the job done with my own bit extender. High quality.
As title says. It's fantastic, the only 'problem' is the knurling is *really* tight to the grip, but once you get used to it, no problems.
Throw in a shaft extension, and you got a full sized driver you can slip into basically any pocket, with the 6 bits in the handle? Basically all you'd need for casual day to day.
Absolutely fantastic, love it.
